i was walking down the street today minding my own business while a bunch of white girls eyed me and they said aloud, " is she chinese? " i was so mad. i never looked back and pretended to not notice. i mean i'm half white and half asian with a bit spanish... why are they accusing to be chinese? this ruined my day. i can't stop thinking about it. it bothers me. it puts my self-esteem way down thinking that white girls are better than me in every way. what do i do now?

I hope you realize, these girls do not ever get the same curiosity about who they are... they are just white...
remember you have to go past the surface and find out if they are nice or mean, their action indicate that they are curious and most comfortable in a gang.
do you think one of them alone would make the same comment?
Be very proud that the ethnic mark of greatness is upon you for all to see! The gang wants you to go down to their level so that they can walk all over you. You are great and distinguished by God as a chosen one to receive the gift of a special measure, whether it be eyes, hair that is curly, skin that is already tan( or perfectly brown). think of all the money and time you save by being who you are!
tanning does not look fun, and it is not all that safe either.
Bare your self with pride and just snicker , they wish they could be so interesting!!!

I hope my daughter doesn't go through this. I'm a scotch-Irish Cherokee and my wife is from the Philippines. For me the mixture is amazing. I have always loved Asian women but then again , I'm a world traveler. Most Americans can't tell the difference between Asians. My wife is called Chinese .a lot.
Don't let the rants of the ignorant mess up your day. If you weren't striking they wouldn't have bothered.
All of us are something. If they were better , I wouldn't have gone all the way around the world to get married

I don't they necessarily meant to put you down; they were just guessing your race. Of course, they don't know you, so they might be wrong. Feeling insulted (I don't know if you realize this) is being a bit racist yourself. So what if they think your Chinese? If there question wasn't meant to be a bad comment or thought, then I don't see the need to feel insulted, unless they shot you nasty looks or something like that.
Anyway, no one's an expert, so don't be surprised if people don't guess correctly when it comes to your race; there's no reason to feel insulted, or that is being racist yourself.
Things like this happen everyday; people aren't able to accept the differences from different people. Heck, I've faced it myself; it's a heart-breaking, scary experience, but you have to stay strong.
My religion is Islam, and I'm an African-American; I'm the first generation to come, and to be born in America. One day, while hanging out with my friends, a bunch of guys overheard that I was Islamic and said, "What? Do you throw bombs at people?"
A flood of emotions hit me, and even though I tried to stand, I started to cry (without them knowing, of course). I got over it, but it was a harsh experience. You just have to move on, ignore it, and correct all that make this mistake.

I don't know why you got upset over that remark. I, too, would have kept walking, but it wouldn't upset me. You didn't know those girls, let it go. WHY would your think "white girls" are better than you in every way??

So what is your problem. So you look Chinese or oriental. So??? where is the insult in that. Personally I've mistaken for a number of different nationalities. I do not get upset if people ask what I am. I sense a dose of paranoia. Relax

Firstly, who cares what a bunch of slappers say about you - is their opinion really important? Secondly, how do you know they weren't admiring you? Thirdly, what's wrong with looking Chinese? Lastly, who said they're better than you? Only you did.
