her stomach and everything else is stretching to accomodate the baby and all the luggage it brings along for the 9 month ride,

Im pregnant too and have been in pain all night, ligament pains, cramping, stitch... its all pretty normal,
if the pains are severe or if there is any blood then obviously you should get to a doctor but general aches and pains are standard when baking a baby!

id like to point out im not medically trained in any way, im just having my 2nd baby!
if your really worried why dont you give someone like nhs direct a call (if your in the uk) or your local hospital, docotrs surgery.... they will help to reassure you.

Y-Tyrant .... You ever heard of an Ectopic pregnancy? See my link below and note the graphic, too. At least read the section called the Overview.

Her pain could be caused by MANY things and I hope it's something less serious. But now that you know that the cause might be something that's life-threatening, please have her see her doctor first thing in the morning or sooner, if necessary.

There's no doctors here, by the way. Go see the doctor, soon!

Seek medical attention!

It could be anything from gas pains to appendicitis to an ectopic pregnancy (where the egg is lodged in the fallopian tube and will burst the tube as the baby grows).

the only way to know for sure is with competent medical assistance.

Get off the computer and GO NOW.

It would depend how far along she is, but the pain she is feeling is normal. Baby needs room to grow. If mom doesn't have it baby will make it. Her muscles and skin are stretching fast. It could also be her uterus starting to contract which is also normal, but that would be more of a tightening feeling.

You really have to be more specific in your question. How old is your girlfriend, how far along is she... so on. Otherwise, cramping is normal as her uterus has to expand to fit the baby...its normal but if you are very concerened, she should see her doctor.
