Have the British public ever been polled for their opinions on whether they would want the sasme right to bear arms as in USA constitution.

That's not easy to answer. It hasn't been too long that the British government allowed the police force bobbies to be armed with a weapon besides a nightstick. I think they're still in old school mode where the people are not that violent or the bad guys may be deterred.

You have to look at the European Unions Constitution. They gave up most of their Constitutional Rights about 10 years agao and want us to do the same thing with the United North American Union! They already do not have Free Speech as we have and they can be penalized and or imprisoned like some citizens of Norway, Denmark and Sweden already have!
