I agree. Robert De Niro is great in everything, but Joe Pesci is THEE best gangster movie actor for me.

You forgot some all-time greats there; James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson and George Raft. Classic gangsters all. I'd have to go with Cagney for White Heat, Public Enemy, Roaring 20s and Angels With Dirty Faces.
Pacino would be second for the Godfather Trilogy, Scarface, Donnie Brasco and Carlito's Way.

Without a doubt Mr. Robert DeNiro!!!! He is without a doubt the most talented actor on the planet. He has done more movies than any other actor I know and he is still kicking it with the younger actors and has fans of just about every age. He is a very seasoned actor and is a blessing to his craft. None of the other people you mentioned remotely come close. Thank you for your question. I hope you pick my answer.
