Fashion help please?

Question

I have no sense of fashion, at all, I really need to fix it up a little. For one, I wear jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, etc. every day, same stuff. Rarely any accessories. Basically, I really need help. If you guys have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it, especially if there's some sites I can visit. Try to keep it appropriate, I want to wear them to school. ;)

As far as my coloring; I'm light skinned, medium brown hair, blue eyes. Thank you in advance.

I have the same coloring, except for a tinny bit of red in my hair. I don't wear too much jewelry except this one with a bird and another with a key, but own many headbands. I love headbands from forever21(.com) and charlotte-russe(.com).
They also have alot of pretty tops for usually between 8 and 20 bucks.
I'm a teenager who loves all these stores, so does my older sister.

Start by deciding what color or colors you like to wear, then add a necklace, belt, hat or whatever in that color. If all of the typical "mall" shops like AE, Hollister, etc. don't appeal to you (and why would they if you want a sense of your own style - you'll just end up looking like everyone else!).

Are there characters on TV or in a movie that you admire their sense of style? If so, try to add a few pieces that mimic their style until your own emerges. For example, if you like Phoebe from Friends - she has a very funky style - lots of jewlery, bright colors, clothes that are flowing and hipped out, etc.

Don't be afraid to change hair and make-up, either. Your hair can totally change your look. You may be stuck in a haircut rut.

Finally, find some things that mirror your personality - if you are loud, show it. If you are quiet, go classic and understated.

I have to agree with other posters, you are lovely and I'm sure you look great - in whatever you decide to wear!

Try looking at some of Delias stuff. They have really cute accessories and clothes, and it's a good start. I suggest that you go to the mall and pick up things you wouldn't normally wear, but that you think are cute. Then try them on and see what you like best. Steer clear of the jeans and t-shirts while you're there :) Take a friend that you know has a good sense of fashion, and take his/her advice. Good luck!

You know something if you have a friend or sister that dresses really cute then you should ask them for some fashion tips but if you don't want to do that just look around you and see what people are wearing and go out and try it on and see if it works for you also you have to remember Accessories,accessories. also I have a friend and she is always getting ideas from fashion magazines and she dresses just like she stepped out of a magazine and she does not spend that much on her clothing but when she puts it together she looks so cute. and I think that would work for you too . Another store you could try could be Rave/Lola, which doesn't have a website yet, and Ross has some really cute clothes most of the time. Creating your own style is just a matter of going to different stores and trying them out and seeing if there's anything in these stores that you would wear. Your look should be modern & respectable! You should own jeans in different washes, pants, accessories, casual jacket, skirts, dresses,tops and shoes in solid and prints. Mainly Black, White, Red, Navy, Brown, Silver. Those go with everything! Blues and oranges look great on you.

hey! go to stores such as Hollister and American Eagle. they sell great stuff! u can ask the people there for assistance on outfits and they'll show u what to wear and the correct accessories. they dress really well too. so u can have examples there. if u cant afford stuff there then go to aeropostale which has good stuff too.

i prefer the classic yet sexy flirty look, cuz it never goes out of style. however, there are some really cute trends out right now. just try not to look like you're trying too hard, and find styles that fit and express your personality. good luck!
