Ok so I had posted a previous question because Im due to have my son today but my cervix was closed yesterday.
Ive heard you have to lose this mucis plug and I think I might have just lost that. But I also heard it was suposed to look brownish or redish. Mine was almost greenish.

Yes I know that sounds gross but i ask for advice from mothers that have gone through this before! thanks!

To be completely vulgar & honest, mine looked like snot! LoL. I remember with my first I went to pee and heard a "ploop". It was the day of my due date, and so I wiped to check & see and yep... it looked like a glob of snot on the tissue, like I'd just blown my nose! From what I understand though, it can be tinted different colors for different women. Mine was actually a clear color, like having a runny nose. Congratulations either way... you'll be having a baby soon!

My water broke the same night I lost my mucus plug.... although my daughter didn't come 'til a whole day later LOL.

It's a mucus plug and it's supposed to look like mucus. Mine was greenish also. I lost mine on a Sunday and had my daughter the Thursday of the same week.

Just because the PLUG is green doesny mean that baby had a BM inside. That is only a worry if the water is green. My mucus was green and baby didn't BM inside.

a due date is just an approxamation of when the baby is full term, not the day you are SUPPOSED to have your baby. And some people don't even know they lose their plug. You may have some spotting/cramping now then too. Go walking. Lots of walking.

It is usually reddish with mucous. That is why they call it the mucous plug.
