Where did you learn your homophobic "values?" Why do you follow them? Do you ever plan to start thinking for yourselves, rather than follow blindly? I honestly want to know where homophobia stems from these days, and why people who should know better tend to take the "hatred" route. I'm almost 30 and I grew up with pretty accepting peers. I hear these words of hate coming from youngsters of only 12 or 13 and am wondering if society is in a backward slide.

I agree with you. It is completely wrong. religion these days is mostly what does it. Its kinda like a dark hole that makes you think so inside the box, it boxes you in and it kinda forces you to think what other people think. I dont agree with religion doing that to you. In most religions you are also taught not to judge, well what are people doing? judging thats what. I feel that there is nothing wrong with being gay, lesbian or bi. If thats what they want then so be it. what are they hurting? They are people just like everyone else but with different prefrences. I dont know why kids think like this im 17 and I was never told that it was wrong, probably because if they did I would look at them like they were nuts cause im very open minded. Me and my little sister who is 13 talk about it sometimes and I tell her that there is nothing wrong with it. I see where your coming from and it really does aggrivate me even though im straight.

i'm an atheist. yet even as i imagine homosexuality is a actual situation it extremely is reminiscent of a ailment/deformity, it has no relating the man. Please examine on. If someone were born with no hand, ought to we condone them? ought to we lead them to connect a cloned hand to the stump (imagining that we had the means)? obviously, in case you compromise for that gayness isn't a call (my perception), it really is then obviously a situation that appears to be like adverse to the continuation of that persons genes. more advantageous or less talking, it decreases health and should be something that should be treated or replaced. yet i don't believe of it will be replaced. If lets "manage" it, i doesn't enable a verify make the alternative for his or her new child. in simple terms as i doesn't enable a verify placed a tattoo on a baby. it should be a vicious violation of non-public rights and freedoms. Or, possibly gayness is a fetish. What enormous difference ought to it make? possibly being gay is a call. So frickin' what? i love a touch kink in my life. If i'm doing it with yet another fanatic what does everybody care? the actuality is that homosexuality doesn't count number to everybody even if the gay. I had a gay buddy that ought to have had surgical treatment if he ought to were promptly. He did not favor the life of a gay guy. I had yet another buddy who loved being gay. He concept that relationships were so a lot more advantageous promptly ahead and straightforward. He loved the great thing about verbal change and the deep information that replaced into accessible with someone very very like himself. we could body this example in the actuality. both area are very a lot to blame of obscuring it. BTW, i'm a member of the Matthew Shepard starting up. I wrestle the position i visit for LGBT rights. EDIT: I favor that that evil people finished of judgment and hate sometime repent for his or her nastiness. The act is a sin? Sin is what's on your heart. seem at your hearts. Do you spot what I see? shame on you. shame on you who attempt to declare love even as hating those who damage none. shame on you for the sin of eating shrimp. shame on you for being ignorant. shame on you for condemning others in accordance with beliefs in a e book you don't be conscious of or understand. The bible isn't the reason behind your evil and hate and sin. it is your justification. you at the instantaneous are not assisting the bible. you're hiding behind it.

It seems like it is in a backward slide. I thought people were more accepting of diversity these days... and I have a hard time believing that parents are teaching this kind of hate to their kids. But maybe they are?

Parents, peers...it's not 60's or 70's anymore, when love was still alive. I am sorry that kids are so mean, but I'm 16, and I really don't care. Most of my friends are bisexual, and it doesn't change them.If they're my friends, I'll always love them.So don't pay attention to those kids. Most important thing is that there are people around you that love you.
Peace!

Personally, I'm not a homophobe, but I think the media shoves hate down our throats. I agree with what you said and am glad you made that point.

Peace out!

For many of them, it's cool to harass others. It gives them a sense of power. If it weren't homosexuality they would be find another reason to cause grief for anyone who might be different from themselves.

However, most of the crap they spew they do learn at home.

Define homophobe before asking a question about it.
Does it mean to fear gays, hate them, avoid them or belong to a religion which says that gay activity is wrong? Or does it mean something else.
Help us out, as different people use this word in many different ways.
Either way, I belong to a faith which deems homosexual activity as wrong. I do not judge gays, God will do the judging. I find the gay lifestyle to be wrong for me and leave it at that. Is this homophobic? Some may say yes. I say NO.

No, it has always been this way. Being gay is wrong. The Bible says if a man lies with another man like he lies with a woman, he will go to hell. That means being gay is wrong. I don't know about you, but I want to go to Heaven. And as a matter of fact it makes me sick that it IS so acceptable these days. I personally don't have a problem what other people do in the confines of their own homes, but why should my kids have to watch it on TV and grow up being told it's okay? I don't agree with it being so mainstream.
