I'm not exactly sure what your question is. There were many instances where he drank blood, as he was a vampire. However, he does drink the tainted blood of a dead boy, and according to the movie, this is toxic to vampires.
After drinking the blood, he collapses, whereupon Claudia slashes his throat open and dumps his body into the bayou (with Louis's help). Lestat survives on swamp creatures, such as alligators, and returns for vengeance upon Claudia and Louis.

Yeah, I do remember dead people's blood being toxic. I think Lestat had a higher resistance to it since he drank Akasha's blood (refer to the original Vampire Chronicle books)

They threw him in the swamp and in the swamp he drank blood of crocodiles and other swamp creatures. There was still some vampire life in him when he arrived at the swamp.

The boy wasn't dead. He was unconscious. Sleeping.

P.S. It's 'came to life', not 'came to live'.
