I just asked a question about"Why Americans are so ignorant"but i get called "Osama" and i'm American.Explain?

Bit ironic how ignorant you all are. I've been an American all my life. I'm just educated unlike all you people who continue to bash and call me "Osama" and say I "live in the dirt." I find it ironic.lol. Ignorant. Any people not so ignorant?

The problem is what you're saying is the truth. And people hate the truth. They rather have the comfort of their facade they perceive reality to be. How many people do you know that will say, "I'm not smart and I really don't know much?"

Regardless of how much they don't know, people don't want to accept the fact they don't know and then, move on and learn. They'd rather "believe" they know because they believe its something wrong with not knowing. But there is nothing wrong with no knowing, but there is somethings wrong with continuing not to know or thinking you know when you don't.

They also seem to be ignorant to the fact that no one truly knows until they learn and everyone is ignorant in some way and about some topics.

Edited: He added, "any people not so ignorant?" If he were trying to say every American was illiterate, this question wouldn't have been asked. And it would include himself, which he doesn't seem to think is ignorant, but carry on.

Interesting, you get upset when someone calls you Osama and you live in the dirt yet you expect other Americans to just be cool with the fact that you have called them ignorant?

Many of us are just as smart as you yet you say "I'm just educated unlike all you people". Sounds to me like you're just plain arrogant.

Well, I was going to back you up until I read your actual q about Americans being ignorant. You are correct when you say they are ignorant for calling you Osama, for he is/was not an anti-semite- as far as I'm aware. The discrimination for people of Jewish descent on your part shows a complete lack of understanding, and therefore ignorance, on your part.
I have not heard of anyone making a serious claim of the "Jews" running the media in at least two decades. Please get off the computer and in public where you can either:
A) Get more culture
B) Get the snot kicked out of you

Don't sweat it. A lot of people get defensive about certain issues. In our society we tend to generalize, which more often than not blows up in our faces. Not all Americans are ignorant. Not all Canadians are either. Not all Muslims are terrorists or wife-beaters. We are all individuals with our own identities and P.O. V.'s (points of view). We both live in free countries that theoretically allow and even cherish freedom of speech. Having said that we must take responsibility for voicing our opinions and our actions. Name calling isn't such a great way to express one's own personal beliefs or view points. But that's just the way it goes sometimes. It's unfortunate that you are being ridiculed but consider the source. (Watch it now, someone's gonna call me a derogatory name right back. Bet ya $10US). Also consider how you phrase things. I myself am cursed with lack of forethought in such matters and have been slapped upside the head good and hard many times. I'm also a very slow learner. Call me a masochist. Who are the " all you people " that you are addressing as ignorant ? !!!! We don 't even know what you are trying to say. Instead of " we people " explaining to you, you may be more succinct and clear in your explanation regarding who these people are that are clearly upsetting you. You don't want to ask "Why are Americans so ignorant?" because that (not unnaturally) sounds like a question that a prejudiced foreigner would ask. And right now, we seem to be getting more flack from Islamic nations than any other.

What you SHOULD have asked is "Why are PEOPLE so ignorant?". This isn't making you sound like you belong to any particular group, and anyone answering may not feel as insulted as they were by your last question.

Well,....it's a lot easier for people to be ignorant in this county than to even try and educate all these dumb mofo's....You must have a middle eastern name or middle eastern characteristics to be called such things...if it really bothers you, you can take the extreme and change your name so its more american or change some things such as clothing, attitude, speech etc....and besides we all know us aribic brothers are the most well "hung"...

Ignorant is a bad word. But its not supposed to be. If a person gets emotional about it, then they probably really are ignorant. Its true, people in the US know a lot less than they should, but its nto their fault. The truth is simply not availible to us.
