how can it not be tracked to the robber i know they have gps tracking now

you have to have insurance for them to even consider looking for it and in most cases they arent able to track your phone with gps

cell phone carries do have the capabilities to track the phone. but do not want to spend the time nor money on each and every customer who lost or had there phone stolen. the only way they will trace a cell phone is with a court order.

The gps or location (the cross hairs on the top of your phone) has to be manually turned on in you setup menu. so you cant track it unless the thief has called 911 or turned location on.

first ur GPS has to be on... and it only works if u wanna call 911 or something like that.... it tells exactly where u are. But i think you have to call the place not try to track down.. I have one myself but idk.
