sorry guys, you have the probability right, but not the explanation. Here's my explanation:
throwing two dice (one red and one blue, for example) has 36 possible outcomes (6 outcomes per die so 6 *6 = 36). That said, there only a few ways to make a multiple of four:

R B
1 3
3 1
2 2
2 6
6 2
4 4
3 5
5 3
6 6

so, since there are 9 outcomes out of 36 or 9/36 = 1/4 = 0.25

Well, the correct way to think of this is:

There are 36 possible combinations on two six-sided dice. (Not 21 as said above - you have to consider the order of the two dice)

We need the probability of a 4 + prob of 8 + prob of 12.

Probability of a 4 - there are three ways to get a 4 total -
1/3, 2/2, and 3/1.

Probability of an 8 - there are 5 ways to get an 8 total -
2/6, 3/5, 4/4, 5/3, 6/2

Probability of a 12 - there is one way to get this - 6/6

3 + 5 + 1 = 9 out of 36, or 1/4. Yes, 3/12 is the same thing.

My answer is 6/21 (reduced to 3 out of 7).

When you toss two dice, there are 21 possible outcomes:

1+1
1+2 2+2
1+3 2+3 3+3
1+4 2+4 3+4 4+4
1+5 2+5 3+5 4+5 5+5
1+6 2+6 3+6 4+6 5+6 6+6

Of those, only 6 pairs add up to a number that is a multiple of 4:

1+3, 2+2, 2+6, 3+5, 4+4, 6+6

6/21 can be reduced to 2/7.

There are 36 possibilities = 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

There are 9 that are a multiple of 4 = 4, 4, 8, 4, 8, 8, 8, 8, and 12.

So, it equals 9/36. Simplified to lowest terms it is 1/4

First, get the knowns and unknowns on the right portion of the equivalent sign: a million. Subtract 2. From the two part: 2x -2x +3 = 3x - 2x - 4 2. Now you have got: 3 = x -4 3. upload 4 to the two part : 3 + 4 + x -4 +4 4. Now you will have: 7 = x 5. practice: 2 (7) +3 = 3 (7) -4 or 14 +3 = 21 - 4 or 17 = 17

yea thats right.......cause 2 die have 6 sides each = 12...
and then the multiples of 4 up to 12 are only 4,8,12; so its 3/12

that is correct but it can be simplified to 1/4.
