I was looking at Helio phones for sale and was thinking of using one as my new phone, but i use a cingular plan. so i was wondering if i can use a helio phone for cingular service, and if i need to do unlock it how do i do that without sending it away and paying alot of money for it?

No, you can not use a Helio phone for Cingular service. However, if you're were thinking of using the Samsung Drift which is offered by Helio but want to use Cingular as your service provider you might want to consider the Samsung SGH-d807 which is very similar to the Samsung Drift. It's also a slider but looks a little more sofisticated. Right now, Cingular offers the SGH-d807 for free with a new cingular account!

No you can't use it with Cingular. I looked up reports on helio and found this statement ....

Nope. Sorry. Helios arent Cingular so u wont be able to. It wont work for T-Mobile, and Verizon either.

the guy above me lied, Your can no longer use a helio... Helio is an finished seperate telephone corporation that in case you liberate all of it you'll do is waste you money to liberate it... Helio ius a corporation for phones and plans for there phones... no telephone plan sharing... I artwork FOR THE HELIO corporation IN CALIFORNIA
