I tried a screen, but the holes were way too big, then I tried tin foil with holes poked with a pin, but there was still a lot of ash in the tabacco. We have Soex quick lite coals.

What you need is the kind of screen that they put in water faucets, preferably stainless steel, but brass works too.

EDIT: A little b!tchy today, aren't we? Just take your "tobacco"-smoking @ss down to Home Depot, plumbing section. There you'll find screens which are used in faucets to filter out minerals from water, the holes in the screen are about 1/16 of an inch in size.

well, i hope you're already putting foil on top of the head that holds the tobacco. make the holes you poke in the foil small and spread out. that way less ashes will get into the tobacco.
