Locks Of Loveaccept 10" minimum hair length (tip to tip). They cannot accept wigs, falls, or synthetic hair.
Please bundle hair in ponytail or braid.
Hair needs to be clean, dry, placed in a plastic bag, then padded envelope.
They need hair from men and women, young and old, all colors and races.
Hair may be colored or permed, but not bleached or chemically damaged (if unsure, ask your stylist).
Hair swept off the floor is not usable.
Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid.
Hair that is short, gray, or unsuitable for children will be separated from the ponytails and sold at fair market value to offset the cost of manufacturing.
You may pull curly hair straight to measure the minimum 10".
The majority of all hair donated comes from children who wish to help other children.
Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails for donation.
Please note: Anyone can cut your hair as long as the above guidelines are followed.
I hope this helps answers your question.

They don't ask for a length. Cut it up to your shoulders. It will look really nice and take a short time to fix it in the morning. Plus, if your hair really is that long, you will donate a lot of hair.

I think you have to have 10-12 inches to donate to Locks of Love...go to their website for more details and locations that accept donations...some locations will even cut your hair for free if you are donating.

Usually you need to cut off 10 inches to donate it. Anything less, you can't donate. But if you cut more than that can still be donated!

First, I would like to say that you are a terrific person for doing this! Honestly, the best thing you could do is take it all off (yes, bald-headed). this will help a lot of people who can't grow back their hair like you can. St. Baldrick's and Locks of Love sponsor headshaving events. Google their sites to find out more.

Locks of Love, which makes wigs for children suffering from the effects of chemotherapy and alopecia and other things that cause baldness, requires a minimum of ten inches in length.
