It is called pro-choice, very few are "pro-abortion". Did you realize alot of insurance companies won't cover birth control for women, but will cover meds like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra for men? Many fetuses with birth defects are spontaneously miscarried anyway, and even if they are born and their parents are unable to care for them, will you adopt them?
EDIT: Also, people with mental and physical disabilities often end up on welfare and you conservatives just HATE people who are on welfare, hey.....I'm just using your logic.

No one argues that some fetuses should be aborted if defective, but for the woman carrying a baby with no brain, and a collapsed skull, the stresses and strains of caring for such a child would have a significant effect on the rest of her family or, ultimately the state. At that point some should ask if that pregnancy and its ultimate result of a child who will never have enough brain activity to know its alive is worth the risk to the mother and the cost to the community at large. It is the woman's choice, often one made with difficulty, that must be respected. If she chooses to have a child with an irremediable defect then we all must be ready to pay for that child with our own money to support it if the mother finds that the care is too much for her. Some may wish to carry to term anyway, and that's fine, others may wish to terminate and try again, and that's her choice and that's fine with me.
That's logical.

You are not- you aren't using any logic. Nature itself often aborts fetuses with defects, by way of miscarriage. The nature and severity of the defect, as well as the parents ability to reasonably assure a somewhat normal life for the child are all factors to consider in this.

You're taking it to quite the extreme.
But if a fetus were going to be in extreme pain it's entire life, be born severely mentally retarted, or even be born anacephalic (with only a brain stem to keep the heart beating), I would say that would be justifiable to me.
But this is each woman's decision, so I can't even judge the decision to abort a healthy fetus. Heck, at the first trimester (when legal abortions are performed) the fetus isn't formed enough for such decisions; at that point it's just a mass of cells and judging problems like these is nearly impossible.

Our logic is that a woman should have complete control of her body. She is denied the right to birth control. She is denied the right to the knowledge of why she needs to use birth control. She is denied recourse when a male violates her body. Then some male decides she must breed like a rabbit and raise the litter under any circumstances and without help from him.
Freeping well sucks. Stop listening to your male idiot and think for yourself. Don't go to the bible because it is not there. God designed the world for children to die and we have told him that ain't going to be the way it goes down.

its all a bunch of crap. Its the same arguement as
"you've obviously never been raped and gotten pregnant"
Those people who make those arguments have definitely never been raped! I get so tired of hearing that, you should have a choice because of rape. Bullcrap! I was and I didn't.
Its just a cop out. Sometimes you have got to clean up messes you didn't create. Including birthdefects and rape.
Deal with it, instead of turning yourself from the victim to the perpetrator.

This sounds a bit more like a statement than a question. If a question, it's a loaded question indeed.
I am not a woman, but I support the right for all women to make choices about their bodies.

Most miscarriages automatically abort the fetus that has severe defects. It's called nature. Do you rage against nature for that abortion?

Again, that's where the "choice" portion of "pro-choice" comes in....it's the mother's choice, since she would be the one responsible for such a child's care. Why do you feel they need your permission to live their lives as they see fit?
