Just talk to people, even if you don't like them. You may meet someone you do like through the ones you don't.
Don't be the shy quiet one in the corner that doesn't speak to anyone. Talk about anything, tv, movies, music... Whatever everyone else is talking about. Don't be nervous, just speak up.

just go and have fun the same way you would if you were going without a party... pay special attention to her, it is her party. she will have to socialize with her other guests so try to find a gme to play while she is mingling about and get her to race you at the go carts a few times. and don't forget a gift if its her birthday music cds are always good. just go and have fun

Do what makes you most comfortable...if it's opt out, do so politely and be honest about the friends, if she can't handle that that....and you didn't insult them....what kind of friend is she.....if you can put aside those feelings and go....and want to....make the best of it....let them be the odd ones out if they can't co-exist

Drop popcorn and ask the guests to help you picking it up.
Step on someone`s foot and ask whether you could do that again.
