First, I wouldn't recommend playing without a doctor's OK because you could do permanent damage to that muscle! I know, because I ignored a leg muscle injury playing sports, and now I have permanent damage.
I think your coach, if he/she knew, wouldn't allow you to play. BUT, if you insist on playing, you should definitely wrap it. You don't say how severe it is or where it is, but even if the injury is minor you have to give it support! Also take and anti inflammatory. Better yet, don't play in this game! If you rest it, it will heal much quicker.

Pulled muscles can range in gravity, badly pulled muscles take longer to heal while slightly pulled muscles may not be all that bothersome. The best thing for a muscle pull is heat. Putting a warm compress or a heating bad on the area for about 20 minutes both loosens the muscle and increases the blood flow to the area allowing healing to take place. After applying heat stretch the muscle, now since the muscle is pulled you want to make sure you are not overdoing it, don't push yourself as far as you normally would. Whenever I have a pulled muscle I do this about three times a day every day until the muscle feels normal or the pain is at a minimum. definitely use the heat and stretch method before a game so the muscle is loose. Massaging the area slightly may also help with pain and healing.
Keep in mind not to apply anything too hot as it could burn the skin, also if you use anything like a heating pad at night do not fall asleep with it on and do not apply it directly to the skin, a thin towel or cloth should be fine protection.
Also if the muscle feels swollen put ice on it to reduce swelling as sometimes swelling can cause the muscle to tense. Try taking anti-inflammatories or pain reducers such as Ibuprofen.
Good luck in your next game

well.....first of all...I have done this MANY TIMES so read this answer before you choose someone elses as best. first, you might want to put ice on the place where you pulled it. Then, you might need a heating pad, but hot water works to....switch these about every 10-15 and just relax and use some icy-hot if you have any.....JUST PAMPER YOUR MUSCLE! Hope this helps!

Take some painkillers, massage the leg with cream and keep it warm. Strap it up when you play. I would advise however pulling muscles is the bodies way of saying to you, I'm hurt and in pain, please rest me or I may not repair properly. You only have one body for life.... is it worth it

In about a month you'll be ready for some light practice sessions. That's if you rest your leg for a month.
