Anyone who is a parent is or should feel indebted to Dateline. I believe that if you do a crime than you most definitely should have to pay the price however high it may be. I think not only should they keep airing the program but they should have a website of all the grime they bust. I also think there should be possibly a newspaper with the pictures and names/ages/job description and any other information about the perps that would be of use to every parent in the country. What I think is rather than calling it "gross" to as you state it "entertain" us what's really gross is the fact that there are so many pieces of utter filth and scum out there that it warrants a show like that and that it airs weekly and sometimes even more than once a week. Think about it, there are that many pervs that it takes show after show to keep airing what us parents NEED to see. The people they bust are what's gross not the program. Look at your question in a different perspective and maybe you will change your opinion about the program. I hope after you read my reply you might re-think your position and chose mine as the best answer. Take care honey

I watch the show all the time.I don't think it is entertainment. It is not entertainment when a child would be involved in a predator coming to their house or vice versa.Their is nothing wrong with catching a predator to bad we couldn't catch all the true sick predators the ones who live for being with little kids. I wish that Dateline would go to other states to catch a predator. That way more people who like to mess with little girls or little boys would be more leary.

I am not familiar. But I don't like the cop shows where they are broadcasting people at the lowest points of their lives for entertainment TV.
In a domestic situation, the last thing you need to help is a camera. They are just making those people's lives worse.
I am a law and order guy myself, don't get me wrong. Cops are just doing their jobs but there is no need to be using those situations for entertainment.
I am certainly not entertained. Its just sad.

I've watched it a few times and it does creep me out. These guys look so normal! They deserve the public humiliation though.
