Cut an apple into 8th's etc etc and make her put bits of it together until it's whole. Tell her what each fraction is when she puts a piece in place.

It's (relatively) straight forward to show what 1 quarter of 8 is. Have 8 of anything, and split them into 4 piles - each one being a quarter.

You then show her how to do the maths
1/4 of 8 == 1/4 * 8 == 8/4

You then explain that to get from 1/4 of 8, to 1/4 of 80 you do the math with 80 instead of 8
1/4 of 80 == 1/4 * 80 = 80/4 = 20

Or you do it the other way. 1/4 of 8 is 2 (as you've shown) and 80 is ten times 8, so 1/4 of 80 must be 10 times 2.

Since children like money use money to explain what fractions mean.
For example lay out a dollar bill and and four quarters
Explain that you are going to explain the fractions of the dollar bill. Explain that the first lesson is that to find 1/4 of the dollar you take one of the quarters and then two for 1/2 and three would be 3/4 Then push them all together and you have the whole again.Do the same process with all the coins to teach the various fractions. I will bet the lesson will only take one night and she will understand.

an easy way that you will be able to remember and do in your head:

1/4 of 80 would be 80 divided by 4
3/4 of 80 would be 1/4 of 80, times three

1/x of y would be y/x
z/x would be y/x times z

Well, your child won't have been given these questions without being taught something of the subject - so I would suggest your first step is to ask your child what THEY understand from the questions. (This is a good way to ascertain how much they have absorbed).
Then I would suggest the practical approach - take 12 buttons and share them into three equal sets and work on from there.

you could use the apple as mentioned before or use her favorite candy and make a game out of it. Tell her she can only eat a certain fraction of the candy and have her figure out what that fraction is by putting the candy in so many even groups.
