Steve C, elective abortion is hardly a healthcare issue. If it's not life threatening, why do it?

And to dude, since you are too young to know.... it's been 40,000,000+ aborted babies since 1973.

I question your 40 million number.....is that total abortions, women that have them or just some bogus number spewed out by *pro-life* think tanks?
45 million is the number of people that don't have insurance *now*...if nationalized health care became reality...many more people could benefit and end their dependence on expensive private health insurance

If the population of the country is 300 million then why would nationalized health care only be for 45 million?

Where in the world did you get that number? Abortions are decreasing each year because of the morning after pill and better forms of birth control.

I choose to smoke-I accept the consequences
but that does not mean that if I get cancer I would not seek MEDICAL treatment.

If I have unprotected sex-I accept the consequences-STD's pregnancy but again that does not mean that I would not seek treatment for an STD Or an abortion if I or MY DOCTOR determined it to be the right decision FOR ME.

I have no need, desire or RIGHT to tell anyone what to do with their body or their ideas or their property unless they ask for my opinion--all I ask is the same respect.

if you feel abortion is wrong--do not have one--THAT IS YOUR RIGHT.

God will judge me and my choices not man.
peace to all.

I'm not sure what you're talking about but I have a hard time believing that 40 million women are getting abortions. All the girls I knew that got pregnant either had their baby or had a miscarriage.
