This 20 second clip of her Selma, Alabama speech has her blasting America's dependence on foriegn oil as a blashemy towards God.....but her husband did little to nothing toward increasing energy independence....and she never invoked God's name in relation to energy independence during his tenure....what gives?

Does she think people will actually fall for this?

Truth be told it is tinkering with God's creation. Whether you believe in Global Warming or not, you cannot discount the fact that all of our pollutants stemming from the burning of various fossil fuels must be bad and detrimental to the environment. We are having a strong effect (and in the negative direction) on that which God gave us.

Now, having said that, I do agree with you that she is picking a time to say this that would suggest it has more to do with politics and making Bush look bad (and by comparison making herself look good) than actually caring about the environment or God's love of it. It may also suggest she is trying to court the religious right by invoking the name of God, especially since they don't seem to have a candidate they like on either side of the aisle.

People probably believe it about as much as the question stating that Harvard does not accept federal financial aid. Now where did that question go? I wonder, hmm.....
