I suppose it would help to know where you were on 9/11 to answer this question...unless we are to assume you mean the forecast and weather in NYC that day (even though two other planes went down in Penn and at the Pentagon...)
I dont recall the forecast. I do recall that the actual weather was clear and sunny, with temps in the 70's. I know this because one photo being passed around the internet after that day was a man on the building with a plane appearing to be flying right at him. The tell tale sign that the picture was a fake was that the tourist in the photo was wearing heavy winter gear in 70* temps....
Can you send me a copy of your project when complete? I'd love to see the bibliography: "Facts obtained from Ydoncha Blowme Back With Vengence of Yahoo Answers!" LOL!!! (the point Im making is that none of this information is anything you can use on a school project - none of us are experts...)

In the NYC area it was clear and in the 70s, with excellent visibility. I could see the smoke from the WTC from my house which is about 35 miles from downtown Manhattan.

It was actually a beautifal day across much of the country. I know it was warm and clear here in detroit. I believe it was the same case in NYC also.
