My car just died yesturday. It was hiccuping a few days before hand when we would accelerate. Then yesturday we turned a corner on a hill and it died. It kindof acted like it was out of gas when it died, like it was chugging. What is wrong with it? This is a '99 honda civic.

Your car is 8 years old and you can't go forever without bringing it to a repair shop you trust to make sure it's running right. A good shop will track the maintenance you've done on the car and know what to expect when something goes wrong with it. You may be overdue for maintenance that you haven't kept up with. Sooner or later a car will need maintenance unless you trade it in for a new car every 3 years or so.

Well, it depends on how the car died... here are some options:
(1) POW! Your car just broke down and won't work...
(2) If not number one, then there might be a problem with the engine...
(3) If you know somebody that can help if because of reason number one...

(1) Well, if it just won't start up, then try to call a car company or something like that. If there is not enough time to do so, then go get an open friend to drive you to a car rental place until the people from the car company DO come...

(2) Hmm, well, if you are advanced to working with your car or fixing it in any sort of way, try it out! My computer right now used to have a big problem that it would just keep restarting! I cleaned it out of all of that dust, and it worked like it was new! Try cleaning out your car and then that might help!

(3) Call a friend to come over to yur house and try to fix it. If he/she can't do it, then try donig number one.

Anyway, if (1) does not work, then I believe that you should buy a new car!

I hope that this works!

Sounds like a fuel problem in the neighborhood of fuel injectors or fuel pump, I wish I had more info to offer you but you didn't give me a lot to go on.

Yeah, it could be fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter.
