Marty is right, the state of rap/hip-hop is disgusting.
The genre died in the early 90's now it is just a commercialized degenerative social craze.
Any list with Fergie, Justin Timberlake, or Bow Wow on it shouldn't be used even to wipe your a s s.
There are some good artists but they are few and far between, Common, Mos Def, Dead Prez, The Roots...
Go get Dave Chappelle's Block Patry soundtrack, lot's of good stuff on there.
Go old school, NWA, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious 5, Big Daddy Kane, can't beat the older stuff.

nicely to respond to your third question first, Hip-Hop is a life-style for a lot of human beings. i ought to pass on some web page, and porbaly stumble on a definition of hip -hop, yet i dont fairly think of thats what you're searching for, am i suitable? Rap is basiclly chatting with a beat. i assume you have heard it till now. Hip- Hop incorporates making a song with a beat, and as I stated in the previous, rapping, is only chatting with a beat. in case you opt to take heed to a artist who has stable rap song, attempt 50 cent or Kayne west. i could attempt listening to rap first!

the answers that were given are real mindless, radio driven responses.real good hip-hop/rap isn't going to be found on any radio station, not even sattelite radio.you need to be of free mind and get out there and sample music variety and artists and judge for yourself.i dont suggest any one artist because what's good to me may not be good to you.there's hip hop artists that i was listening to over 20yrs ago that were better than what's out today.
