i heard this stuff is good if you experience smoke or a rough engine/ vibration .

i dont really have any of these problems but id like to do this procedure if it will benefit my car. I'm pretty sure none of the previous owners had done this ever - car has about 175k on it.

i want to use diesel purge (i heard lubro moly is the best?) directly into the fuel injector lines (not as a tank additive). I was wondering if anyone had a good tutorial (possibly with pictures) on how to do this on my car - 1991 350sdl mercedes.

I did find one tutorial that calls for buying a fuel filter. Why is this necessary?

thanks.

leave the car alone!!

I am a diesel engines mechanic.
don't play with the diesel engine.
175K is nothing for a diesel engine(Your is almost new)
the hole in the tip of the injector nozzle, is so minute that the tip of needle is 30 times bigger. if YOU clog it it may explode like a hand grenade.

never heard of such a thing and you don't want to be pulling apart fuel lines if you don't know what you're doing. They generally have 10,000PSI which will allow diesel fuel to penetrate your flesh like a bullet! It's not a recommended thing!
Just use SILO in your fuel tank and it does a splendid job cleaning the fuel system and injectors.
