I just asked a question about abortion, and a pro-choice woman said that pro-life people want to FORCE women to be pregnant!!

Isn't that absurd? So us pro-life people forced them to have sex, and then want them to not have an abortion. How funny.

I have heard this opinion before, so it is not unique to this individual. My question is here:

Her name is lltrix. Why don;'t you people think before you say something? If you did, you would know most pro-life people don't WANT you to have sex before marriage, so it is just the opposite!

In fact, (I don;t want either), but I would rather force you NOT to be pregnant, and just not have sex until you are ready for a child!!!

You people crack me up!

Get your head out of YOUR crack and think for a moment. If you are pregnant, there are only 4 options available and 3 of them mean staying pregnant.

1., Stay pregnant, keep the baby. If you don't want the baby then tough, the child will likely grow to be unloved, unwanted, and knowing it and perpetuate the side issues of drugs, welfare, violence, and despair.

2., Stay pregnant, adopt the baby out. Good luck if the child is mixed race, worse luck if the child should be born with a disability. At least if the child is adopted it will presumably be loved and wanted.

3. Stay pregnant and hope and/or pray that the pregnancy is terminated by natural causes. See note 1 and 2.

4. Have an abortion. Go through the grief of choosing and living with your choice. At least you have the chance to finish your education, properly care for other children in the family, or to have your own life.

There are no other choices that I can think of once a woman is pregnant. Hence, even if birth control would have been a better alternative, it's too late. And, if you insist on no abortions, you are insisting that the mother stay pregnant.

I'm pro life and I am definitely not a rapist. I could understand abortions for victims of rape. But I do not support abortions for victims of stupidity. All this does is tell people that they can make a mistake and don't have to deal with the consequences. The term "Consequences for your actions" is fading away in this country and it's sad.

How many teenagers and adults in this world ABSTAIN from sex? Not many. So your point on staying away from sex is pointless.

Now, let's talk about pro-life. The problem is with pro-life, just like getting angry about people on Welfare, is you want the end result, but refuse to want the process for the end result. Here is what I mean: The best way to limit unwanted pregnancies on teenagers is to possibly teach sex education in school. Some children do not get the education at home. No one that I know of who is Republican wants that. They want abstinence taught. That does nothing. The teenager gets pregnant, and, in cases where the family is poor, go on government assistance.

You want abortion eliminated. How about Conservatives look at ways on being PRO-ACTIVE instead of PRO-LIFE...

For someone with that mentality, I guess sexual intercourse is like sneezing. They think humans have no control over the sexual impulse, or should not be asked or expected to control themselves.

Did you ever hear or read an address by Sharon Stone extolling her notion that adolescents should have access to large quantities of condoms and parents should just keep them supplied and not take notice if any are missing?

no count number in case you suspect in god or no longer, it comes right down to no count number in case you suspect a fetus is a individual. the two way, God is approximately determination each and all the time -- curiously he gave human beings loose will. you will possibly be professional-determination and be against abortion. Being professional-determination skill which you suspect persons ought to make their own judgements approximately what to do with their bodies. definitely everyone has a distinctive concept on whilst life actual starts off. those ideals ought to be respected. by employing the way, a number of of "professional-life" human beings are FOR the death penalty, FOR the only right suited to undergo palms, and FOR the conflict on terrorism. what variety of "professional-life" is that? that's not -- "professional-life" human beings only opt to return to a decision which persons ought to stay or die.

Hmmmm...just read her answer and find it kind of odd that she would say something like that. Maybe she has dominant males in her life and is starting to assert herself a little. Her thinking sounds a little old fashion.

What if pro-lifers minded their own Fing business? What do you care if someone you don't know or likely ever will know has an abortion? It is none of your business! Why don't you worry about your own soul and leave everyone else alone. I know, your church and your political party want you to stay focused on this issue so they don't have to focus on issues that affect all of us, like health care and education.

I have seen other posts from Iltrix - she doesn't have a clue. If you think the Pro-choice stuff is bad - you should read her excuse for politics!

oh...and how these discussions help the issues are when you come to them with an open mind. Do you think that Muslims agree with abortions (not medically necessary), gay marriage?

Abortion as a form of contraception is appalling.

Well, in my book, having the sex without precaution (save for rape cases) is the freedom of choice.

It's that they would like to keep the potential consequences easily disposed of that disgusts me.
