No, it isn't true, basically because there were no women in it, women not being allowed to act. The men's parts were played by men, while the women's parts were for the most part played by boys whose voices hadn't broken yet - once their voices broke, they progressed to the male parts. Perhaps that it how you got this idea - rather than lesbians, in the original Romeo and Juliet, it would have been a man kissing a boy - probably even more disturbing!

No, the original was by Shakespeare, and in his time, only men were actors even for female parts. But Romeo and Juliet were always a male and female role, just men played both.

No it is not true. In Shakespeare's time women were not allowed to perform on the stage and for this reason all the parts in his plays were played by men. If you see the excellent film Shakespeare in Love this point is the cental focus of the film.
