Hello! ^_^ I'm going out to sing tonite and sometimes later on in my life so I thought I'd ask what you guys think of as good songs to sing at a Karaoke place. Well, I'm 15... and I've already sang:

-Bring Me to Life (Evanescence)
-Whenever, Wherever (Shakira)
-If It Makes You Happy (Sheryl Crow)
-Toxic (Britney Spears)

I can go high sometimes, but I do have a problem with it sometimes. I can't sing very low either... so I'm kinda stuck. Plus, I hate rejection and I want the crowd to love the song also. I'd appreciate your input and opinions! Thank you! ^_~

Try singing a country song. There's a lot of artists who have really good songs that are more country rock then old country. Leanne Rimes has some good ones. Like, I Need You. Sheryl Crow's got a lot of good ones too.(You've already sang If It Makes You Happy) Also, You can always sing one of the songs you've already sang. Many times I have gotten requests to repeat certain songs. Good Luck!!! Have fun!!

I absolutely love doing karaoke and I have sung 3 out of the 4 songs you listed above. Some oldies you can do is Pat Benetar's "Heartbreaker" or Heart's "Alone". I also love singing Norah Jones " Come Away with Me". Lastly Dee-Lite's "Groove is in the Heart" is fun and everyone knows it. Good Luck tonight!!!!

Whats extremely relaxing is picking a track very uncharacteristic of your self or the region your making a track at. Like my son who went to a bar along with his female pal and all his different acquaintances, and mutually as there sang..No Doubts, i'm in basic terms a woman. LOL What ever the track you choose in basic terms have a competent time & relaxing with it despite if many of the notes you cant hit :-)

All great songs, with the exception of Shakira. I say look for more evanescence, like:
My Immortal
and
Tourniquet

Also, check out:
