Do i let him go or ask him to stay?

Question

Ok so my life is about to go crazy my bestfriend/ex bf is going to California this spring break which im totally kool with u know but he wants to noly buy a 1 way ticket which means he does not want to come back to NC and live. This is liek breaking my heart cuzz he is like my rock and he just is like my love. But the problem s that him being here is like killing him he really HATES it here so im at a crossroad
1) Do i tell him go and be happy there even when it will throw my life up side down and will just kill me
or
2) Do i ask him to stay untill we get out of highschool which is June 2008 even when he is miserable here

Its just driving me crazy b/c i want him to be happy and i want him to be ok but i know that him being here is what he needs to do cuzz in California things where different but i also know that he hates it here

u know wat u should? U should go to GOd and ask him wat 2 do. He'll give u the right answa at tha right time. i mean sayin that if none of anybodys answas help u includin mine. But anyways. i think that u should ask him y he's leavin and try to make out a deal or sometin. These things can be really tough an i feel fo ya. like i said trust in God and he'll help ya. even if God doesn't let him stay. maybe God might have somebody else fo ya.

Make a suggestion and briefly explain your analysis of what it could be and why you think it is bad for him, but do not insist. After all, it is him life and you cannot force him to choose what you want him to. As a best friend / ex, you fulfill your responsibilities by talking to him. At the end, it is still up to him to decide what he wants. If he leave, you can try to keep in touch with him and be prepared to be there for him when he needs help or comfort. And if he chooses to leave, give him your sincere best wishes!

Well, judging that you are in highschool... you have your whole life to find your love and your rock...and if you two really are good friends then you will stay in touch and continue that friendship...let him go...let him live his life...and offer him support in what he does...that is a true testament to a best friend...

Be supportive. If you are a good friend, you will let him go. Your chance will come sooner than you think. Try to stay in touch, but dont force him to choose. He will resent you later.

i would tell him that i will really miss him and i really hate to see him leave but i don't want to be selfish so i rather see u happy cause i really want u to be happy and that we can stay in touch as much as possible.tell him to please don't be a stranger come back and visit and let him know u will try to visit also..i hope this helps you

I think this is more of a decision between he and his parents than you and him.
But, tell him how you feel. I'm sure he'll take that into consideration.
And, whatever he decides in the end,....... be supportive of it.

I know this is very painful for you, but he needs to be where it is best for him, not for you.
If its for the best that he go then he should go. The 2 of you can still keep in touch.

the right thing to do would be to let him go, but when u love someone its not as easy as that and i know myself i would try to convince that person not to go becuase it would kill me, selfish ?yes of course :)
