I want to get a new reptile but not sure what I want. Any suggestions? I hav a 40 gallon long aquarium to keep it in. I already have leopard geckos, mali uromastyz, iguana, bearded dragon, fire belly toad, fire belly newt, red tail boa, western hognose. I don't want a spider or a scorpion. mainly a snake, lizard, toad or something like that.

It would depend on how much money you want to spend and how much time you want to spend on caring for it . Sounds like you already have your hands full but I know reptiles can be addicting . If you have everything your reptiles need and money set aside for emergency vet care should it be needed , then you might want to think about Ball Python or a Florida King Snake . The tank you have now would be a nice size for either. You might want to check out www.reptilezone.com Just make sure you can care for all of theses reptiles properly . Cleaning cages alone can take up a lot of time and what about vacations or college ? Then what ? Be a responsible pet owner .

No reptile can love you. None. maximum reptiles that are actually not snakes could be frustrating to look after, so I propose you a minimum of evaluate a great corn snake, because of the fact they are actually not demanding in any respect and additionally you will carry them plenty (to boot forty 8 hours after feeding) in any different case, attempt a Leopard Gecko, or a Crested Gecko.

If you turn the tank and make it tall you can get adorable crested geckos. But otherwise the long aquarium won't work for them -- try a snake or something that doesn't climb.

You should get a turtle! Red-Eared Sliders are more common and pretty simple to care for. I have two Red-Eared Sliders named Squirt and Yoshi, they are just adorable!

Turtles make great pets because they are cute, fun to watch, and are smart too!

You must be prepared to get a slightly bigger tank in the future though, because they can get to be the size of a dinner plate.
