You bash the president and his administration for lying to the people. But, when General Pace is asked about HIS PERSONAL opinion of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and gives an honest answer, you bash him for it. So, tell me, when are you supposed to lie and when are you not supposed to lie?

Although I do not agree with his remarks, I do not belittle him for being honest. We need more honest people in our government.

General Pace is a very honorable man, he is a great MArine and I agree with his statements, those who dont maybe ought to try serving! As a Marine (once a Marine always a Marine) I applaud his fine leadership

Why are you stating that ALL people who are "Liberal" are bashing him.

Now, he has a right to say what he wants to say. That is a First Amendment right. However, he has to understand if he says it in a demeaning or tasteless way, he will be "bashed" for it. That is the price for saying what you want to say. Tim Hardaway stated it in a demeaning and tasteless way, therefore he got a severe backlash for it.

Bottom line: Maybe people are bashing him on HOW he said it rather than what he said....

The only personal opinion that matters to a liberal is one that advances their agenda. Funny how they're so concerned about offending someone, but don't think twice about stereotyping those who disagree with them.

Can you only be a bigot if you say offensive comments about a "minority" within the population? Liberals seem to think so.

Because it was a stupid thing to say under the circumstances. One of the first members of the military to be wounded in Iraq is gay. He lost a leg to a land mine. According to this soldier some of the 3,100 members of the military who have been killed were gay. How are they thanked for their sacrifice? Their commanding general calls them immoral.
Pace can hold any opinion he wants. However when it comes to expressing those opinions, as they relate to the troops under his command, he should shut up.

It's the fact that he was supposed to speak about the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy, and not his personal view. He chose to make offensive remarks to gays.
You are allowed to hold whatever views you want in this country. But if, hypothetically, I hate Jews, is it ok that I call their religious practice "immoral" in front of everyone?

together as he's in uniform, he would desire to have purely given his expert the clarification why the "do not ask do not tell" coverage is important for the U.S. militia, quite than giving his own motives for why he would not like homosexuality. it particularly is his purely mistake. he's unquestionably entitled to his very own opinion on the morality of homosexuality.

He wasn't supposed to respond to such a question. A general is supposed to be able to keep his mouth shut. Otherwise, he can betray our state secrets.

Anyway, the scumbag insulted his own troops. Gay troops are risking their lives in Iraq, and Gen. Pace, sitting in his comfy office, is insulting them. What a lowlife! He should be fired right away.

The Politically Correct crew only want to hear honesty so long as it co-insides with their agenda.

How about the school girls out west who were joking with each other... one girl told the other "Oh, you are a Morman? How many Mom's do you have?"... The young girl resonded "Thats so gay"..... Guess who got suspended?

The one that joked the gay comment. Cause thats offensive to the school system....Religious jokes are not.

WOW.

I'm liberal, a veteran, and i support his views. Unless they had a segregated Military, the Gay army and the straight army. I don't want a bunch of homos getting aroused in the shower full of other men, putting homo's in with straight men in the army is like letting straight soldiers live and shower with straight women. ps they can call the Gay Army the Navy

Because he's an idiot for calling homosexuality immoral. Yes it's honest, but that doesn't mean it's right. Don't lie and don't be ignorant.
