Beautiful means you're visually stimulating. Looking at something beautiful almost overwhelms you with emotion.
Whereas on the other hand, cute is like almost delicate, you know. Like a baby, or maybe a flower.

these terms are often used interchangeably.... and assuming we are eliminating the use about children....Beauty truely is in the eye of the beyholder. But talkin in the general sense... cute indicates you are good looking , maybe even very good looking, especially to that individual that is observing, and usually it means "approachable".
Beautiful is beyond cute in that "most everyone" would find that person is close to flawless. On the other hand many would be intimidated by the beauty.
Then there is ...Kind of Cute and ....wow, she is really cute!
those are self explanatory........i hope.

for example, Natalie portman and Drew Barrymore are cute, But Beyonce and Christina milian are beautiful. Therefore, nice innocent yet attractive girls are cute. But if you can turn heads everywhere you go, and have guys drooling over you and you get hundreds of compliments every where you go then you are beautiful.

Hi! Skipping inner beauty's definition, the perception of beauty corresponds with "natures perfect ratio number" PHI (1.618). The closer a person's physical proportions correspond to PHI, the more "beautiful" we perceive them to be. We are biologically programmed to respond to these proportions (keeps us from mating outside our species!). The response is even more strongly ingrained in us for what we call "cute". The reason is because people we usually perceive to be cute are people whose characteristics are more proportioned to a child than an adult (larger head or eyes, for example). We react with distress if we see them in any difficulty because we are programmed to respond protectively to anyone who trips the "child" button in our mind.
**-Definition of PHI loosely taken from Dan Brown-"The Da Vinci Code"- Doubleday, NY 2003
**-The Divine Proportion
**-PHI = 1.618 The Divine Proportion---(generally considered to be the most beautiful number in the universe)
**-PHI is a fundamental building block in nature. Plants, animals, and human beings possess dimensional properties That adhere with exactitude to the ratio of PHI to 1.
--any honeybee colony in the world--divide number of females to number of males=PHI
--the ratio of Nautilus shells-each spiral's diameter's ratio to the next=PHI
--head of a sunflower's seed-they grow in opposing spirals-ratio of each rotation's diameter to the next=PHI
--spiraled pinecone petals, leaf arrangements on plant stalks, insect segmentation all have PHI relationships in structure relations
--from the tip of your head to the floor, divide by distance from belly-button to floor=PHI
--measure shoulder to fingertips, divide by distance from elbow to fingertips=PHI
--hip to floor divided by knees to floor=PHI
--finger joints, toes, spinal divisions all have PHI proportions
**--See DaVinci's man-in-the-circle drawing, "the Vitruvian Man"
