Why does everyone assume goths are Satanic?
There's more Christian goths than Satanist goths.
Most of us believe there's no god, so naturally there's no devil either. We have better thngs to do with our time than worship imaginary beings.
Emo and goth are completely different, the only thing they have in common is their punk roots.
The emo mentality is all about self-harm, attention seeking and depression.
The goth mentality is 19th century Romanticism, an appreciation of natural beauty and all things unusual (weird in the view of the ignorant). As well as the different clothes (goths wear things like black leather coats, lacy shirts, brocade, crushed velvet and pre-1900 fashions (often Medieval, Victorian, sometimes futuristic, while emos wear 80s fashions like converse, low rise girls' jeans, checks, stripes, sometimes bright colors) goths and emos enjoy different music. For a goth band search for Nightwish, Cradle of Filth, siouxsie and the Banshees or Bauhaus. Emo music includes bands like MCR or Fall Out Boy

The difference between Emo's and Goth's may be hard to distinguish but knowing the difference could save your life.
Emos are passive animals, and easy to taunt/provoke. They will not retaliate as they are not "bad ***" A behavior more commonly seen among Goth's.
Goth's however should be treated with a certain amount of respect/fear, as they can be crazy. As they could beat you to death with a small dead Chihuahua puppy.

I think that emo is, depressed,antisocial and sick of the world, while goth is anti-Christ, or Satanic. Good question, I had to figure that one out on my own. Which was really hard, since I know people from both cliques, so I couldn't ask them without offending them.
