There are many horrendes crimes. More than once a young girl is kidnapped, raped, and murdered. Some of these killers are sentenced to life in prison and others are sentenced to death. Unfortunately, their death, if it happens, can take over 15 years.

I would rather see instant justice as determined by the victim's relatives.

No waiting and no appeals. Just get those horrible people on the other side of the lawn as quickly as possible.

If quick justice is not done in the near future, there may be a way to hire inmates , anonomously, to do the job.

Just a little clarification: My point was that if they caught the criminal, and he confessed, I see no reason even for a trial!

In California, and other places thoughout the world, there are similar crimes.

Just a hypothetical scenario, if you walked into your daughters bedroom, and she was being raped and screaming......and you had a gun...would you wait for the outcome of the justice system? Or would you kill him on the spot?

I know what I would do....and it wouldn't be a quick kill. And my wife would help me!!!

Probably my daughter too.

Dear: Kaityn.

I don't know to respond to you except via this way.

I have the deepest respect for people in the south.

I lived in Alabama for a while and I have friends there.

I don't know what question you were concerned with...but I am proud to be a "Redneck"!

No. That would be biased and unjust. What if the person was innocent?

It seems as if this should be the universal solution. But, even criminals have basic human rights. The rights to live on the government dole for as many years as we let them, housing, clothing, food and medical all included. There is no swift justice nor do I believe there will ever be.

Justice is only allowed under the jurisdictions of the country's laws. You can repeal it in this country democratically.

Many other countries in this world has no rights of appeal.

Great idea in theory...BUT I think there are too many varying opinions about what a punishment should be or what is fair and I thin we would have WAY too much variation in punishment.. One softy might say .."it is not up to me to judge or blame it will be up to the LORD" and a guy will get off.. and another will say "KILL HIM!!"

Good idea.. bad idea..

this is not an option that does not violate our civil rights.
if you were on trial, wouldn't you want a fair one?
relatives do not agree on punishment anyway, a judge is fair and opholds the law.
2 wrongs do not make 1 right

Yes, by the family members hurting the most, and just as ruthlessly & cruelly as their loved one was murdered. I'd have no problem with that.

Just so you know, that's what they do under Islamic law. If that's what you want, please move there and leave our criminal justice system alone, flawed as it may be.
