It is simply asking you whether you think the UK's relationship with the US is more important to the UK than the UK's relationship with the European Union. Which relationship do you think is more beneficial for us? Hope this makes sense!

It is not asking which is the better choice but which is more important. Both are there but which relationship make the United Kingdom better, economically, socially and from a security point of view.

We are already joined with the EU and have been a member state since the early 1970's. Our relationship with the US has no formal footing, it's simply a friendship. For me, the EU is the more important one, since the EU has been formed Europe enjoys the longest period of peace ever in it's history.

Why should it be either? The UK can stand on its own. Do the people in the UK want to be linked at the hip with the french? I doubt it. Is the US against Europe now? I thought we were allies. Did something change that I'm not aware of?

the UK is already in the EU and it is asking if it would be better for the UK to be best friends with the US or the continent. england always has and always will consider itself its own country, separate from europe. thank god.

minerva, only because the US fights all the battles.

No...It's asking why would the UK chose the USA over it's neighbours.

Irrelevant.

Every country over there owes its sovereignty to the blood, sweat and tears of American soldiers. Without them, they wouldn't even exist today.
