The characters in pullmans dark materials have daemons that take animal form that reflect an aspects of their personality..... What would your daemon be and why?

I think mine would be a wolf. I'm not saying that 'cause they're cool and everything, it's just that I'm fiercely loyal to my family and friends, and I'm always hanging around them (like a pack). I can be quiet (timid) at times, but if I feel threatened in any way (be it emotionally or physically) I will attack. I really look out for the people I love.

I've been thinking about this a lot since reading the books and went through the obvious glamorous exotic beasts. But I dont think mine would be. I would ideally like to be a bird of prey. Maybe a snowy owl for wisdom and calm dignity, but I am a scatty firey dynamo with sharp tongue so I think I am more likely to be a bl**dy porquipine or a ferret! Charming. After all, you dont get to choose do you.

I have to agree with chicyuna, I thought I would be a cat because they're my favorite animal, but on reading her answer I have to agree that I share more of thier charecteristics. I live with my sister and her kids, I have a large, close family and if anyone tries to hurt anyone they have my expansive wrath to deal with. and I will go for the jugular.

My wife says that mine would be a bear, but I think she's just being nice. I suspect that it would be a cockroach, only because whatever their unpleasant characteristics, cockroaches are tough, stoical and cunning, and above all, immensely patient.

I think mine would be a siberian tiger. They always seemed very exotic and proud to me. I like to think I'm a bit like that. Plus, they are almost impossible to tame. I hope no one is ever able to tame me either. What about you?

Mine would be a Bee-'cos I'm small,kinda spikey & furry,and I tend to buzz around in a busy little manner-and i'm told i'm cute!

I think mine would be a bear
cause bears are very independent like me and they aren't very sociable.
and they are kind of peace animals but very strong
they won't attack anybody if they think he is harmless and mean no harm
and they are playful too
