1) 4.
2) I don't understand, do you mean rape? I still say there's X amount of time to make a decision one way or the other.
3) 1
4) If that's my only choice, 1 - if it's a choice between 3) and 4), I'll take 3) - - - the dollar you take from me to give 75 cents to a bureaucrat and 25 cents to a guy who got laid off at the widget factory, I would have spent on a widget.
5) Genesis is a spiritual account of the same events - like they said in the movie, a day can be as long as God wanted it to be. Look at the similarities - first the earth, then the water, then the plants, then the animals, then man - - don't you think it's amazing that the Bible got that right? You do understand that some of the ancient Greek stories, take away the involvement of the Gods and it's a storybook version of battles that actually happened, right? And that the story version is intended to fill other needs besides historical accuracy, right? I look at it like that.
6) 1 - that doesn't mean I wouldn't be disappointed.
7) 4
8) 4. But they can control their actions. That doesn't mean it's a sin and you shouldn't be gay - but it does mean that you choose to engage in the behavior, which does carry risks, and that having unprotected gay sex with some guy you met in a P-Town biker bar is assuming a risk, just like riding to that bar without a helmet. That's why they call it ACQUIRED Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. God didn't punish you. You took a risk and it didn't work out. NMFP.

Q1) 4. Legislation should never be at the federal level regarding abortion, and should entirely be the purview of the states.
Q2) 4. See above. Eliminate the FED.
Q3) 1. Social and business welfare programs should be ended.
Q4) 2. Immediate elimination is better than phased out.
Q5) 3. There are flaws in evolution, much as there are flaws in a creation model. When evolution can pass the causality principle of science, then I will review my opinion.
Q6) I do not have children, as my wife and I cannot concieve.
Q7) See above
Q8) 3. People cannot control base insticts of attraction. They can however control acting on their base insticts. That is the difference between civilized and natural man. The more instinctual a man, the more barbaric a man.

1) 1
2) 2 (It would be better than how it is now, but not the best)
3) 4 (No, Veterans should get welfare if they need it and so sould the disabled; but not just plain lazy people)
4) 3 (Again, not ALL welfare programs; just the ones that support the lazy)
5) Being Catholic Ill give you my opinion...Genesis isnt a step by step History report, its symbolic. God didnt create the earth in 7 "days", because for the first couple "days" the sun wasnt even created so how can it be a day? Its all symbolic, and how you interperit it is your opinion. And evolution exist to a point, we did not evolve from the sea or anything; but I can beleive that an animal can adapt to its envirnment over time and change certain qualities.
6) 4, I would not, I would love them; but be dissapointed and reassure them what awaits them after their life on Earth.
7) 1, I would; I would love them none the less but would reassure them it is a sin and immoral. And tell them that if they act physically upon their atraction to the same sex, they would be in Hell for eternity.
8) 4, no. If your a man and attracted to a man, you cant control that necessarily; but you can control following through and acting physically about that attraction. (People arent born gay, they turn gay)

These are straight forward answers from a straight forward Catholic and Conservative.

I don't agree with 1 because...
I completely agree with 2.
3 and 4. I think social welfare programs should be more regulated, so we give money to the NEEDY, not the WANTY. However, we do have an obligation to those less fortunate, but not those who are just lazy.
5. I think God created mankind through Evolution.
6. and 7.I would tell my son that homosexuality is a sin, but I would still love him as my son.
8. I do think that, usually, homosexuality is a choice. For instance, are people BORN being sexually attracted to brunettes? No, they just gain preferences. So, it probably works the same way with homosexuality.

1. 3....I feel there are some cases where it should be allowed
2. 2
3. 3
4. 3....should not be phased out but limited to a time frame for each case. A person should not be able to remain on welfare for year after year after year
5. 2....I do beleive it was god who created the world...but I beleive it happend in stages and not over just seven days....but millions of years....and evolution might have happened but with the help of GOD.
6 and 7. I would support them, but that does not mean I would have to like it...no matter what you don't stop loving and supporting your kids...so I would have to say 2 on both of them
8. 4. You are attracted to who you are attracted to....that does not mean you act on it....

1.) Not all. I'd make exceptions for rape and incest. Abortions were allowed for those reasons even when it was technically illegal.
2.) See answer #1
3.)Not stopped, but limited to those who really need them. Those mentally or physically incapable of supporting themselves. Social Security was intended to keep the elderly from spending their twilight years in poverty. It wasn't supposed to support every lazy, drug-addicted schmuck in the country!
4.) Why wait that long? See above.
5.) Genesis is a collection of old Hebrew myths.
6.) No. Suppose they came to me and said they were drug addicts, should I support them? Wrong is wrong. That's it, that's all!
7.) See above.
8.) Of course, otherwise, I'd be getting more nookie than Bill Clinton!

Now, you've missed some key elements . Because a person has their own particular beliefs for their own family, doesn't mean that it automatically translates into forcing those beliefs upon others . I believe in Freedom for all . And I wouldn't preclude others from that very freedom . Nor would I express prejudiced towards them . There are some things that are choices and others that are facts .
