I'm doing my homework and I came across a couple questions that I was wondering about. I'm kinda curious about them so if you can answer just one or all of them, that'd be great!
-What kind of of columns do the Lincoln Monument and the White House have?
-The Athenian Parthenon in Greece, does have all 3 types of columns or just one or just 2? What are they?
-How have the specific features on the Partheon affected modern soceity today?
Thats all! Thanks! =D

The Athenian Parthenon in Greece, does have all 3 types of columns or just one or just 2? What are they? Doric primarily, but also ionic (Corinthian was primarily a Roman style ) http://academic.reed.edu/humanities/110Tech/Parthenon.html

How have the specific features on the Partheon affected modern soceity today?
Obviously, the use of the column as support and style (function and fashion) - look at the the US oldest/most revered buildings: courthouses, libraries, the White House...
The use of "optical refinements" is also used today. To the unaided eye, columns tend to look narrower in the middle than at the top or bottom. Each of the columns in the Parthenon was built with a slight bulge in the middle, to make them appear “straight” - this is still common practice to look more aesthetically pleasing. Important buildings (courthouses, libraries) still use other elements found in the temple's design including the frieze, metopes, and a pictures pediment. Finally, the use of the caryatid (structural beams that are carved to look like women have been used since Greek times, and can still be seen in large buildings as well as homes (sometimes even as ornate planters).

The Parthenon has Doric columns. You won't often find a structure with more than one type, because the different styles evolved in different places and different times -- they became a little more elaborate with time, as stone workers figured out new and more complicated techniques.
