Hillary Clinton is going to win, the Republicans don't have any candidates that the American majority will support because of the George Bush travesty. They only way to make sure is to nuke them to morbid.

I think that it is way too early to be able to forecast accurately, hopefully. And, I also think that your added details re: a woman and an African American male possibly being unelectable quite probably could be correct; the electorate majority is almost certain to be Caucasian males who may be opposed to both of the above. Having said that, here are the results of the latest polls: Among confirmed Democratic candidates, Hillary Rodham Clinton is slightly ahead of Barak Obama who is closing the gap gradually, and John Edwards is running third. Among probable Republican candidates, Rudolph Giuliani is leading John McCain while Mitt Romney (a Mormon which could be problematic for him among the Christian fundamentalists) is third. In the projected Presidential election, then, Giuliani would defeat either Clinton or Obama according to the polls. Giuliani, however, has lived a personal life of scandal, and it may well happen that as the election nears, his popularity may not fare so well after much scrutiny; he is estranged from his children. We'll just have to wait to see what trends develop, including which candidates may make serious faux pas which will effect their electability negatively (a la Howard Dean and John Kerry in the past). The competition should continue to be fascinating, anyway!

I don't think Hilary has a chance, since so many people hate her, and she is a woman. Gender shouldn't matter, but it still does. Obama doesn't have enough experience yet, maybe in a few years. He has a good career ahead of him, but his time has not yet come. I don't think race will be a big issue when he is ready. Any other Dem running will have a tough time. Why did you only ask about Dems?? I think Rudy G. will win.
A previous person said something about Rebublicans and scandal.... Where was he/she when Bill was president??? At least I can believe that what George W says is the truth, even if i disaree with him on several issues.

I hope that Hillary will win. However I am very reluctant that most Americans are now as opened minded to vote for a black man or a woman. I am hoping that because there are more diverse candidates that we can break free of the middle age white man running this whole show. Maybe this will be the inspiration for more people to get out and vote.

American men have helped elect female & African American governors, senators, state attorney generals, mayors, state representatives, township supervisors, etc. etc. etc. When selecting leaders, most Americans vote for the person they honestly feel is the most qualified candidate - not because of the gender or ethnicity of the person.
For myself, I am going to wait at least 18 months to find out who is actually going to be on the ballot before I speculate on who will win the election.

I think women are 51 percent of the poplation. It all depends on if they vote, and if they do elect a woman, or and african american male, there really isn't anything that can be done about it. There are a lot of men who may vote for either of those candidates you are wondering about as well. Welcome to the 21st century.

I honestly believe it will be a democrat that gets elected in 2008. Just by watching the news and reading the paper, folks seem that they are more behind Hilary Clinton than they are Barack Obama. If I had to choose between them two, I would vote for Hilary Clinton. However, I am not voting for either of them. I am hoping that another Republican gets on the ballot besides Dick Cheney. I'm not voting for him either.

It will be a democrat regardless if it is a black man or a woman, most of America are fed up with the repuglicans and all the scandal and corruption that goes on when they are in leadership roles.

The American voter is smarter than you give them credit for. They will vote for the person they think will best represent thier views, not by gender, color, or which baseball team they like.
