Looking to settle a bet, so we need websites to verify the answers. My buddy says some football fields have the back of the end zone further back than others. I say all pro fields are the same, and all college fields are the same. Who's right?

The end zone in Canadian football is 20 yards long by 65 yards wide, where the end zone in American football is 10 yards long by 53⅓ yards wide (Canadian football is played on a longer & wider field).The end zone stretches from pylon to pylon on an American football field.
NFL end zones are10 yard deep. This measurement is shared by all levels of american play.
Second site says it is in ALL AMERICAN LEVELS OF PLAY

The length of a football field is 120 yards or 360 feet as the rule books say it .

The NCAA and NFL have design parameters that must be met. Both insist the field be exactly 100 yards long with exactly ten yards of "end zone" to score in, with the goalposts for kicking mounted in the middle at the center of the back lines of both end zones.

They are all the same - 10 yards deep. College and pro fields are all the exact same dimensions. Total length of the field is 120 yards, including the endzones and the total width is 53.33 yards from sideline to sideline. In short - your buddy is wrong.

All football fields are the same length. 100yds long (don't remember width, but it's all the same too) and the end zones
are always 10yds deep. Stadium football or indoor football,
is a relatively new sport and the measurements are a lot different -- as is the game.

All endzones, regardless of level - NFL, NCAA, Highschool, in American football are 10 yards deep. Of course that does not go for Arena football. Checkout the website www.sportsknowhow.com

They all are the same. That is if you're talking about the NFL and NCAAF only. The AFL (Arena Football League) has 8 feet deep end zones.

You are right. The endzone in both the NCAA and the NFL is 10 yards long.
