That someone who was really contemplating suicide would come here to get talked out of it? Could it be a sick sense of humor? No offense to those thinking about it, but come on, this isn't where you should be.

Well if someone said that they were contemplating it - I would not give a sarcastic or nasty answer because I would not want to attribute to someone's downfall in life.
Most people on here do ask or say inane things just for shock value and that is sad. Someone could really be reaching out for help. Remember what happened to the boy who cried wolf

No this isn't the place for that,but come on,we are all human and sometimes what we really need is to vent and just get some perspective.I say do whatever one needs to do to stay afloat,if that means coming here and sharing that type of feeling then who am I to judge...and for the people who make fun of it,I think they better be hoping to never feel like that,because they might find themselves facing cruel words like they gave out ...

When you suffer from depression you'll reach out to anybody that will listen to you.That's why I usually recommend that they see their doctor asap.
