I have to write a report (7-8 pg double space, 10-20 sources) about a person who influenced American history.
Right now I can't decide between Susan B. Anthony or Franklin Roosevelt.
Who would you pick and why?

i'd pick FDR because there are innumrable avenues to research to garner all the information for a 7-8 page paper:
life before presidency
the depression
family life
new deal legislation
worrd war II
atp

In my opinion, as much as Susan B. Anthony paved the way for women in the government, I think Roosevelt made more of an impact on the daily lives of future generations of Americans.
He was responsible for many of the National Parks, Interstates, and (if I'm not mistaken) the welfare and/or social security system.

FDR.
Besides the fact that he's one of my favorite historical figures, there are more sources out there for him. 10-20 good souces at your local library might be tricky depending on where you live, might as well maxamize your odds. Try to find "No Ordinary Time: Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, the Home Front in World War II" by Doris Kearns Goodwin. I've read it and it's very good.

I don't know who Susan B. Anthony is but if I did I'd prob. choose FDR anyway. He's really interesting in my opinion. I just finished the WWII lesson in school and my teacher told me a lot of interesting stuff about him. I bet if you did a lot of research you could find a lot of interesting facts. Mostly because, once again, in my opinion, he's most known so there will be more info on-line about him. Good Luck with your report! =]
