Of course it's safe...but my question is, can you tell me how you did that? I'm only 6 months and I've managed to gain 20 already!! Yikes!

As everyone else has mentioned already if it was a concern your doctor would have brought it to your attention. What I want to know is HOW THE HECK DO YOU DO IT? I gained 40 lbs, cut out all caffeine and only ate La Carreta 3 times a week...Wait a minute thats probably what did it. HA,HA! I'm happy for you and good luck with the new addition!

yup seems safe
if ur a bigger woman also they tend to not gain as much as a smaller women
but 15lbs isnt so bad at all :)
as long as ur baby is growing good through the pregnancy and ur eating right than it should be fine and also ur doctor would have said something if u werent gaining enough

Is your baby healthy and normal sized? If yes, then yes.

My first child I gained 16 pounds.

My second I gained 12 pounds.

My third I gained 14.

I'm 22 weeks along with twins and I have gained 7. My babies are normal sized.

If you are eating healthy, the baby is well sized, then you are just blessed with a great metabolism.

If you haven't been eating properly- you are putting yourself and the baby of anemia (And also a greater chance for serious post pardom bleeding)

Congrats on your new little one!

I had only put on 13lbs in 41 weeks of pregnancy and I had a healthy 7lb 4.5oz baby girl.

Wow did that weight drop off..... you'll probably find you're lighter than when you got pregnant a few days after your baby is born!

Good luck with the birth and congratulations on your bubba-to-be!!

it depends, if you were overweight before starting, than that is great to only gain 15 lbs. if your were underweight, than you need to make sure you take your vitamins. if you are a petite person than 15 lbs might be all you needed to gain. the baby gets what it needs to grow and depletes the mom's resources. this can leave you being fatigue and malnourished after the baby is born. if you are feeling fine and have no symptoms of concern, than enjoy the fact that you will have little to no weight to loose after the baby gets here. good luck in your upcoming delivery.

I think it would depend upon what you weighed before and how you took care of yourself. I was overweight when I became pregnant. The dr. ordered me not to gain too much weight. I gained 15 lbs. and my son weighed 9 lbs. He was fine. I ate healthy the whole time. I eliminated junk and so that is what made the difference.

If you are overweight it is recommended that you gain between 15-25lbs, so if you were overweight it was within the range the doctor's suggest. Even if not, the baby, placenta, and fluid all weight about 15 lbs, so I'm sure you're fine.

I only put on 20 pounds during my whole pregnancy and the doctor told me that was fine.

I gained nine total and delivered a beautiful baby girl. She was 6 lbs; 14 ozs, Apgars were good and her cry was loud. You're fine. You probably ate very healthy, exercised and prevented putting on your own weight; just added baby weight. She'll probably be a little one thought. Congrats and relax.
