i have to do a collage on the decay of the American dream?

one side is goig to be the american and the other will be reality of the american dream i need idea on what picture to put on each side PLEASE HELP

For starters how about Paris Hilton on one side and something from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on the other.

On the dream side show big houses, big cars, lots of consumer products etc. maybe American idol contestants.

On the other side pics will be harder to find - but maybe guns - ads for legal drugs ie anti depressants - harder to show something on the illegal drugs but both are a problem. Try to find some statistics from the internet on divorce rates that you can print out - not really a picture but call it artistic licence :-)

Do a collage of Bill & Hilliary Clinton

They never owned a home until after he was President.
He lied, and cheated

He destroyed what we valued in a family.
He destroyed what we tried to think about lying.
He destroyed his marriage and himself.
He laughs about what he did - and got away with.
Hilliary has said - divorce is not an option - so
those American women who want out - are told to stay.
She destroyed what a free thinking American woman is.
Her idea has shown women of the world that you take whatever a man dishes out including possible AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases as he had many incidents with prostitutes and others, and always take the man back.
She was never my idea of a woman of character or courage.
I would never want to belittle myself to be like her image of a woman.

I never got that - is the american drea buying a house? Cuz I aint got one but my ancestors in italy did!
Tip - go through magazines and cut out images of what you feel the media is shoving down our throats - that would be the dream. Try using pictures of poor or sick people from Time, Newsweek, etc on the reverse. Use your gut to choose pictures. Try sticking pieces of textured fabric, mirror, macaroni! etc to give depth. For extra credit take interviews and play it as you present your collage!

Let me send you a picture of my father-in-law. He never became a rock-star because The Man kept him down.

Now he plays guitar in a bad Mexican restaurant for free beer and tips, and his definition of The American Dream is to work as little as you can and make enough to not go broke.
