Yes, have you ever seen a pregnant man give birth to a baby?

Women are better at multi-tasking; I think it's the way we use our brains. We can hold the baby, answer the door, answer the phone, pick up things with our feet all in the one 30 second timeframe!
I think the sexes complement each other. I am better than my partner at many things - I drive, he doesn't(though being a man, he knows everything about it!); I'm handy - he's not. I'm good at writing; he's not; I CAN multitask - more than one thing at a time happening and he panics.
Having said that, he's great at the donkey work; the setting out and clearing up of things; if I have a dinner or anything in the house, he'll look after all the drinks, do all the clearing up, etc. Actually, I can run rings around him; but he says it's because of my "eldest child" position in the family, and the fact that I had to learn these skills. He's the middle child, and a youngest son...his mother ruined him, so he never learned to do anything for himself.

Yes, we are, we have more neural pathways connecting the left hand and the right hand side of our brains which makes us better at multitasking. The information tends to move quicker between those too areas.

However, being better at this isn't always and advantage. A woman is usually juggling several different things at the same time. So even if she is at work she is still planning a meal, considering how to get all her children to the different places they should be, and she's probably got several tasks on the go at once. It's in the nature of women to do that. On some occasions and in some situation it's better to be totally focused on the task in hand.

Yes, women ARE really better at some things than men. And I'm not talking about giving birth or doing housework. The female and male brain are a bit different. Women have better verbal skills, they are better at tasks that require fine motor skills, they have less lateralized brains, which gives them an advantage comparing to men. On the other hand, men have better hand-eye coordination. Naturally, I'm talking about the average of men and women in the populatiotion.

Male and female brains are different and not because of gender socialization but because of innate factors. They are already differnt at birth. I will explain it to you describing the case of a boy who was raised as a girl.

When he was just a few months old his penis was damaged, burned actually, by accident during circumcision. At that time scientists belived that we learn our sex roles through socialization. Now we know that's not true. Anyway, the doctors recommended to the parents that they raise the boy as a girl. And that's what they did.

However, she never liked to wear dresses or play with dolls, she mostly played with boys and was a very unhappy child. Her parents later told her that she was a boy and she decided to become one again. Unfortunatelly, this story has a sad end, the man commited suicide in his 30s.

The main factor that causes brain sex differences is the y chromosome. It's activation leads to a series of changes in the basic blueprint for human development (which is actually female). Hermaphrodites, people with sex organs (internal or external) of both sexes, have brains which differ from both female and male brains. And yes, each hermaphrodite brain is unique. All due to hormone exposure in the uterus. Some research has even shown that sexual orientation is also a result of brain anatomy.

Everyone, Men and Women, is better when performing in a mixed environment i.e interacting with both men and women.

I believe that dealing with women (including my Mom and colleagues ) will push me do some things better, dealing with mean ( including my honey and my 2 lovely kids ) will help me do some other things the best way.

I believe in
Interaction and Complementarity. Why do you think there are 2 genders on earth ?

I think women are better at verbal skills, multitasking, and possibly reading comprehension, while men are generally better at spatial manipulation, hand-eye coordination, and logical reasoning.

Now before anyone yells at me for the "logical reasoning" bit, let me explain: men's brains work in more of a binary, black-and-white, cause-and-effect type of way, while women's brains work with a greater sense of interpretation and shades of gray.

Not making any value judgments here, one isn't better than the other, they just happen to tend to be good at different things.

Yes, women are better at some things and men are better at some things, it depends on the thing in question doesn't it?

Obviously - aren't we the ones chosen to have babies?
There are a lot of medical reasons why men and women differ but the actual fact is that women are better than any male. We don't really broadcast this because we are better at being modest, naturally.

Verbal and reading skills. Women tend to be more articulate and expressive than men. Women have better dexterity, which makes them better at crafts and artwork requiring attention to detail. Women can handle stress better, and it has been shown that women are superior communicators, translators, and interviewers. Women are more perceptive and observant. This makes women better managers, team players, and leaders. Women are better drivers. Stats have shown most fatalities and recklessness can be attributed to men. Women do better academically, with most degrees now being earned by women. Women handle sickness and illness better than men do. Women are more flexible, making them natural dancers and gymnasts. Women are superior in many things too numerous to mention here in case you wanted to know.

Are [all] women really better in some things?

Well, I havent met "All" women and I don't believe that we have stats on "all" women and what they might be better at.

In order to answer this question, we would also all have to agree on what criteria constituted a woman (and there is no universally accepted definition for "woman").

So, my answer is simply, nope. ^_^
The same with men, I don't believe that there is something that all men are better at either.

------Added in response to someone below---------
Men and women have different brains largely on account of gender socialization. If someone is encouraged to use certain parts of their brains over other parts (ie through gender segregated activities: "boys activities" and "girls activities") their brains will develope differently.

I ask, what about intersex brains?

Often, people who fall back on the male/female brain point fail to acknowledge the existence of intersexes. (Like my partner, who is not a male, or a female, and isn't something "between").

Others may say, "but not all intersexes are the same" I would say, "No two intersexes are the same and that applies to males and females as well." and then the entire "lets segregate people into groups based on sexed brains" this falls apart and is reduced to loose generalizations. A "good enough" science for sex? Looks like a far stretch to me..
