I say yes. And should black folks really listen to what Sharpton has to say? I say no. For the simple fact that he is always around to blame the white man for everything, but is never around to help out with the problems within the black community.

I think Sharpton is jealous of Barack because Obama has a main stream appeal and is not using the race card to get support. Like Sharpton usually does.

I know there will be some who will ask me why I dislike the Revvie Rev so much......I won't deny that in the past he was a great help to the black race, but now he is nothing more than a money hungry heathen who looks for camera time everywhere he can.

I was wondering the same thing, when I heard he won't give his support. I think he is looking for whoever will 'pay him off' the most, with a big job or something. I think you have analyzed it well.

Al Sharpton is always at the forefront when there is any case of police brutality, racist beatings or attacks in New York. With all respect to you, he's not always right about everything, and we might not always agree with every word he utters, but at least he shows that he is a man. He stands up for what is right and he's not afraid to take the ridicule. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were powerful, effective leaders but both were very different people. Who knows what is in Al Sharpton's mind to say that he is jealous? Maybe they simply disagree on issues. What's wrong with that? Barack Obama is a shining example whom I hope will be around for a long time. His style is not as confrontational as Sharpton's but he does what he has to do in his own way. That's what makes America great. Everyone does not have to see eye to eye. White people disagree on who they want to be their leaders and black people should be able to do the same. We should always remember the good that people have done over the course of their lives and not just what they have done lately. Furthermore, all politicians look for camera time because they want the public to remember them. You know, there can be more than one black leader at the same time.

I told a friend of mine that Sharpton is responsible for the many problems black people still face today. Al Sharpton says what some African Americans want to hear and does not voice out the truth like Bill Cosby does. That is why he is so jealous that someone who has different ideas is succeeding where he has failed. who even knows, I doubt if the guy ran for President for money or what.

must be. Sharpton wasn't given this sort of extreme attention whilst he ran for president and he must be feeling no person took him heavily and that the only reason they are paying interest to Obama is that he's particularly stable finding, extra healthful, trim, does not lose his temper surely, and so on. having mentioned that it must be because of the fact Obama did no longer "seek for advice from' him or does not have Sharpton as area of his marketing campaign team. in keeping with hazard Sharpton feels as though he could be consulted because of the fact he considers himself a black "chief", despite meaning. having mentioned that, perhaps he quite feels that Obama isn't elevating the the perfect option themes. yet whilst it is the case, why isn't he trailing after Hillary or John McCain?

I agree with you. Sharpton is jealous of Obama's popularity because Obama gets people's respect (even of those who disagree with him) just by being himself.

Sharpton, on the other hand, is a polarizer. He tends to draw strong love/hate reactions, without a lot of middle ground. He's a divider where Obama is a uniter.
