I honestly do not believe it is,I had chosen not to love anyone anymore but that didnt help me any. I think you cannot chose to love or not,it just happens (inspired by Lexi)

Obviously from the replies, it is different to various people for an assortment of reasons.

But, I'll spin it this way:

Even if your very cautious, is it a choice to get hit by a runaway car?

Because for me, "love" for my wife came outta nowhere, and smashed into me like a bus!
Before my daughter was born, "love" for her hit me in the way of responsibility & fear. As she has turned into a teenager now, it is a choice not to beat or kill her...LOL!

I "love" my friends and that is a choice, but something about them made me love them before "choosing" too.

Eh, I rambled and I don't think that was a good answer, but works for this Pirate!

well, thats tricky,TO ME,its a choice in a way. Lets say your taken, many ppl that had an affair say they couldnt help it,that they didnt choose to fall in love, but if you choose to be around that person time and time again, then you are making a choice and taking the chance of developing feelings.

No I honestly believe love is not a choice. I wish it were sometimes. But what we do with that love is a choice and I hope I don't mess it up again !!! *smile*

you may pick to stay in procedures which make it more beneficial or a lot less straightforward to love others ...yet as to whom you adore: i imagine it truly is given. you won't be able to make your self love everyone. you may make your self respect and respect them...take care of them with care. Be compassionate and beneficiant. yet love is a present and that i do no longer know from whence it originates. I call its source "the Universe" ...i imagine you may call it god... some may call it Krishna and some destiny or success. that's all a similar issue truly...we basically each know it by ability of the call it makes use of at the same time as conversing with us.

I don't believe that love is choice. But what we do about it is a choice.Sometimes we love someone who doesn't love us in return and we have to walk away. That is a choice, loving that other person isn't.Sometimes we sacrifice for the person we love, the sacrifice is the choice. The love isn't.

It can be a choice, because we can always reject it, but I also believe that it simply happens...Love is the greatest thing.....

Love happens basically when you are not looking for it...at least that has always been my experience.

You can choose. If it happens you either choose to acknowledge it or not.
How you feel is different however. Feelings are harder to dismiss.
