Tsunamis can be extremely dangerous. Do you remember from 2 years ago, the incredibly devastating tsunami in the Indian Ocean? Exact numbers aren't known, but it seems likely that over 200,000 people died in that event. Coastal flooding was catastrophic, wiping out thousands of villages all across the ocean basin. It was also a frequently videotaped event, and if you do a google (or yahoo) video search on "indian ocean tsunami" you'll find many examples of amateur video of the event. These videos are just stunning, and frightening, especially since most of these people didn't really understand what they were seeing when they shot it.
