So here's the deal. This quarter of college is almost over, and its not very likely that I will pass the chemistry 101 class I'm in. I want to take cellular biology, which Chem is a prerequisite for. Since I'm enrolled in chem right now, I was a able to succesfully register for the cell bio online. Here's my question: If I don't pass Chem, is there any chance that I will be able to stay in the cellular biology because it may not be noticed that I didn't pass?

Some professors will let you stay in the class even if you have not fulfilled the pre-reqs. You will need to ask for permission to stay in the class.

HOWEVER, I highly recommend you do NOT stay in cell bio. If you couldn't pass general chem, cell bio will eat you for brunch! You **need** those chemistry fundamentals to do well in an advanced biology class.

I know it sucks to put off your classes, but drop Chem 101 for now. Take it over the summer at community college or try it again next term (and get a tutor and/or study buddy). It's better than trying to take cell bio without the pre-req and getting a shoddy grade.

Think of it this way. Do you think you will be prepared to take a class when it doesn't look like you're prepared for the prerequisite?
