there is a small hole in the gas tank how do i fix it

buy the KBS Coatings fuel tank sealer kit. View directions on line. Remove tank, clean, prep & seal.

If it is not a pinhole, you may need some patching (nuMetal)before permanently sealing the inside.

Go to the auto parts store and buy the gas tank repair.
It is a strip that you roll and fold untill it becomes gray ( follow directions) and push it into the hole.
Be shure you sand, or buff untill it is clean.
It works. I have sealed a hole 1/2 wide and it did not leak.

You can do exactly what Goldwing said and it will work if you do it right. But remember once something starts rusting and getting holes, it is only a matter of time before this happens again and again and again. My suggestion, buy a new tank if you can buy a polyethylene tank. They don't rust.

I know this may not help but the best thing to do is to replace it. Look on ebay for cheap price
